Sandy Hook

That act of violence claimed the lives of 26 people, including 20 innocent children, at a school in Connecticut. The Huffington Post reports that the night after Sandy Hook, a gunman pulled behind a car in Kansas City and opened fire, striking a 4-year-old boy in the head. In the week following the Sandy Hook massacre, bodies were found inside a vacant house, at a car wash, and in a corner store. They were also discovered on a bike trail, in a backyard, inside the front office of a motel, and in a Chevy pickup, the website reports. All of the bodies had one thing in common: The Huffington Post spent this week tracking gun-related homicides and accidents throughout the US, and logged more than from Google and Nexis searches. It says there were more than twice that many homicides alone in an average week in The deaths included murder-suicides, and ranged from babies through to grandparents. On Saturday afternoon, a 3-year-old in Oklahoma died after accidentally shooting himself in the head with a gun he found inside his aunt and uncle’s house. His uncle is an Oklahoma state trooper.

I had nearly left a wonderful husband of 15 years for a man who initially seemed to be my dream come true—charming, sensual, romantic, cultured, caring and attentive—but turned out to be a social predator. There were plenty of red flags in my year-long relationship with him: Rather than being embarrassed by lying, strangely, he appeared to relish the deception.

In this article he claims the following: It is legal in these states to bring loaded guns into gambling establishments, sporting events and restaurants that serve alcohol. It is legal in these states to carry weapons into stores and shopping malls, and in some cases even onto college campuses and into bars and houses of worship. It is legal for people to do legal things with legal guns. Every where else guns are allowed. Private businesses are not allowed to ban guns.

New Hampshire should have made your list. In all of these states, it is legal to shoot first and claim self-defense much the way George Zimmerman did with Trayvon Martin and hundreds of others have done in less publicized cases. I think shooting people before they do anything is against the law everywhere. Simple Self Defense legally everywhere. And in all of these states, their background laws — if they even exist — are so full of loopholes that someone with a criminal record, a drug or drinking problem, or a history of mental illness can obtain a gun.

States can require all gun sales require a background check or they can allow private transfers of guns between gun owners.

FBI reports nobody died in sandy hook in There is no actual identification of any of the dead. The report had many black images with white numbers, which are supposed to be associate with the dead people. Instead, they were reportedly shown photographs of the deceased. No parent of our acquaintance would have agreed to accept the death of a child without viewing the body. Proof of death has been suppressed Twenty-eight people allegedly died: However, there is no direct proof of their death: In fact, no video surveillance footage shows anything—not even Adam shooting out the front plate-glass window or walking through the halls like Rambo, even though this is a school that had updated its security system at the start of the academic year.

One photo left shows the blown-out glass window through which Adam Lanza presumably entered the premises. But how did he get past the furniture, with all his weaponry, without moving anything out of position? Uh, we did not bring the bodies and the families into contact.

Where was God in Sandy Hook? He was there in every single closet and cupboard and bathroom, standing with those poor children, just as He shall the rest of their unfathomably traumatized lives. He will comfort and heal, long after we forget this terrible, dark day. For without flinching, these unspeakably brave women gave up their lives as a testament to the truth that no greater love has any of us than if we will lay down our lives for our friends.

And as we wonder at their courage, and wonder what we would do in their place, let us at least never again describe women as weak in any way, mind, body or heart. He was running down hallways, giving courage and words of wisdom to Theodore Varga. He was helping Maryrose Kristopik barricade her babies charged to her care, hugging them close and speaking softly to those young lives, striving to keep them from he terror only inches away. He was helping so many staff members.

And where is He now? Standing with the families and friends, who can only have barely begun to move from shock to a lifetime of mourning. And still He shall stand with them, with us all, long after this slips from the pages of the news. And He will one day heal even this wound and, yes, wipe away every tear.

Lord please guide these angels home Twenty-seven precious souls And help all those forever reminded …. When the bells of Newtown toll There are very few things that affect most of us like the death of a child. So I could only watch in astonishment and disbelief when the news broke that December morning in … twenty seven people were killed in Newtown Connecticut. What made the news especially tragic was that the casualties included twenty children attending the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

As it turned out, it was not only the deadliest mass shooting in an American grade school; it was the second deadliest mass shooting by a single person in US history. As sad as it was to see the news of these unfortunate deaths, it was the young survivors and their horrified faces that I found the most heart-wrenching.

The funds would be appropriated toward grant money for states, in order to improve reporting to the national database, which is designed to keep guns out of the hands of individuals with felony convictions and certain mental health issues. The Justice Department has long sought increased funding for the FBI-run database, but the measure is just a minor step in the uphill battle to enact stricter gun laws. Congress still has not passed legislation to require universal background checks, amid stiff opposition from the National Rifle Association.

The passage of the measure follows a killing spree in California last Friday, in which year-old Elliot Rodger stabbed three college students to death and fatally shot three more before taking his own life. Rodger legally purchased three handguns prior to carrying out the attack, despite the fact that his parents had warned authorities that Rodger was unstable and potentially dangerous.

Rodger was being treated by multiple mental health professionals leading up to the rampage. And the first step in stopping this is through background checks,” Thompson said on the House floor Wednesday. And right now, all the information isn’t getting in,” he added. The task force introduced a slew of bills aimed at reducing gun violence after Sandy Hook, but none of them were taken up by the GOP-controlled House, where Speaker John Boehner R-Ohio said existing laws should be improved instead.

The amendment that passed Thursday was aided by rare bipartisan support, with Reps. It now heads to the Senate, where lawmakers failed one year ago to advance a compromise to expand background checks. Given the House-passed measure simply offers a modest boost to the existing program, it is unlikely that lawmakers in the upper chamber would reject it. The amendment received a major assist on Thursday, when the NRA, the nation’s most powerful gun lobby, told HuffPost that it would adopt a “neutral” stance on it, neither supporting nor opposing increased funding for the background check system.

Nothing could be further from the truth. A more accurate definition of selfish is expecting others to give themselves up and do for you what you can and need to be doing for yourself. Let us count the ways! They can be honest when they know that you will deal with your own feelings rather than blame them. If your partner feels obligated to have sex with you because you have made him or her responsible for your happiness and sense of worth, your partner is likely to feel resistant to sex with you.

I suspect it is thought to be so totes-mega-awesome that it has actually been paid to be promoted… I, on the other hand, feel it is a totes-mega-steamer. The article says that there has been a study into how society feels about mothers with PND. Good news, apparently there is no longer a stigma. Somehow only women with PND are afflicted by this strange notion that there is still a stigma.

So they must be right. Hey, people who came up with those conclusions based on your extensive studies, ring up an insurance company right now and ask for life insurance and tell them you have PND. Let me guess, you have an added clause for suicide because you have or have had PND? It is in effect for the rest of your life? Yeah, so weird that insurance companies consider you a suicide risk for the rest of your life given that there are no stigmas surrounding PND.
